Ted Michalos is a chartered accountant and licensed trustee in bankruptcy.In 1999, Douglas Hoyesand I had a vision of a different way of handling the personal bankruptcy process. We wanted to use a personal approach, to get to know the people we were helping, and to see them has individual cases with unique needs, instead of just as clients.That’s why we founded Hoyes, Michalos & Associates Inc.
My approach is simple. I believe that spending some extra time with each person I help makes me a better advisor, and ensures that we find the right solution for your financial difficulty. When you call any of our Toronto offices you will talk to an experienced professional, not a clerk. We won’t just take down your name; we will ask you some preliminary questions, so that we can begin helping you immediately, right over the phone. Then we will arrange a time to meet with you personally to further explore possible solutions.
I believe that all options should be considered, including a consumer proposal, which is one of the least known alternatives to bankruptcy. Since no-one else promotes consumer proposals, I make frequent appearances on the radio and TV promoting consumer proposals as an alternative to bankruptcy.
